We launched our journal with an anonymous gift that allowed us to give a token honorarium of $10 for each piece of writing and artwork we published in our first year. We’ve continued to do so, thanks to contributions from our writers, readers, and editors. We know what a joy it is to receive even a token for one’s creations, and we are inspired by our donors’ generosity.

In fact, a heartfelt thanks to Rebecca, who has generously supported Writers Resist with monthly donations since 2020. We know our contributing writers and artists are as grateful as we are.

We’d love to continue the flow of pittances, so, if you like what you see in Writers Resist, please give a $10 donation (or more!) to sponsor one of our contributing writers or artists, or help cover our operating expenses, which include the website, mundane but necessary.

Although ours is an all-volunteer collaboration, we are NOT a nonprofit, so your gift will not be tax deductible, but we hope you agree that the value of resistance—literary and artistic resistance—far surpasses that of a tax deduction.
